Ann Cameron Williams, Ph.D., Founder and owner of ao Strategies created ao Strategies in 2015  to “build things” – innovative approaches that have global, national, state, and local impact on people with intellectual disabilities  and their families – through the systems and organizations that serve them. She has worked in senior leadership positions at The Arc of the United States and Easter Seals’ national headquarters over the past ten years seeking and obtaining over 11 million dollars in five to seven-figure federal and philanthropic awards. Her reputation as an innovative thinker, a relational oriented collaborator, successful rainmaker, and a fierce advocate to obtain optimal outcomes for people with IDD is widely known. At her most recent position as Senior Executive Officer of  Research and Innovations at The Arc of the United States in Washington, DC, her largest project portfolio included the conceptualization, funding, and implementation of Autism NOW, HealthMeet, and The National Center for Future Planning.  Return on investment (ROI) is measured by true leaders in many more dimensions than a dollar standard; Ann Cameron’s ROI in relational AND economic measure is exceptionally well established.  She has a doctorate in disability studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago; a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and is a 2011 Fellow of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Center for Social Innovation. She is a an adjunct associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her most important role is as mother of a young man with Down syndrome.
